I'm almost done with my build. All I need to do is install is my motherboard drivers. Problem is that I don't know which ones to install. Newegg's Guide said the most important were chipset, audio, and LAN installed. On MSI's website they show a whole bunch more drivers that are available to download. What do I need to download from the BIOS, driver, and utility download sections? Do I need them all or just those three that I specified? Could someone go through the website and list the necessary ones after the chipset, driver, and utility?

Oct 20, 2014  the bios updates are only needed if it fixes a bios issue. Look in the bios of your mb it tell you the bios rev of your mb. Then look online and see how old the bios is and if there any bug fixes that need to be installed. To update the bios is a risk that you can brick the mb if done wrong. You have to download the bios file to a usb stick and run the bios updater inside of the bios of the mb.

After you have found the right driver, follow these simple instructions to install it.

  2. Disconnect the device from your computer.
  3. Reconnect the device and power it on.
  4. Double click the driver download to extract it.
  5. If a language option is given, select your language.
  6. Follow the directions on the installation program screen.
